POTATO STARCH

Properties

Native Potato Starch is a white powder soluble in hot water or in an alkaline medium. It forms a translucent and clean gel at 60ºC – 65ºC. It has a fine texture, great binding power and high viscosity.

Applications

Manufacture of paper, corrugated board, glues and adhesives, textile finishes.

MAIZE STARCH

Properties

Native maize starch is slightly yellowish white in color, soluble in hot water or in an alkaline medium. It forms a more opaque gel than the potato gel at 75ºC – 80ºC, with a fine texture, great gluing power and high viscosity.

Applications

Manufacture of paper, corrugated board, glues and adhesives, textile finishes.

PEA STARCH

Properties

Pea starch is white in color, soluble in hot water or alkaline medium. It forms a similar gel to the one from potatoes at 65ºC – 70ºC, with a fine texture, great gluing power and high viscosity.
